Wonky Block Lamps

Beautiful, raw, rustic blocks of wood transformed into unique lamps.

There was an 18th-century barn in Norfolk that had collapsed and I happened to rescue a load of oak from its timbers. They had been ruthlessly cut up into burnable chunks which are now sitting in my wood store ready for a new lease of life. There are also pallet wood offcuts which are so lovely to work with.

Reclaimed wood – largely untreated.
A simple block of pallet wood with treated copper – plus a candle backup!
Work in process. The stainless steel ruler touch lamp. Incredibly hard Sheffield steel.
More work in process! Using a brass disc cut from an old Victorian plate as the touch plate.
